! Luebeck 11/27/2008 - flightplan changes:

 

From Monday, 12/01/2008 Icelandair is increasing its services to Keflavik. The evening course is going to be served on Mondays and Fridays, too. Icelandair is going to set up additionally courses at noon. Noon services will be provided by a Boeing 757-200.

 

Travelservice, a Czech charter airline, is going to set up flights from Prague to Luebeck during Advent season. A Boeing 737-800 will bring visitors to the Christmas city of the North on Saturdays and Mondays.

 


! Luebeck 11/23/2008 - New destinations:

 

Lauda Air is going to shut down its flight services from Luebeck from tomorrow on. In the future, Transavia is going to serve the route to Innsbruck five times a week using a Boeing 737-800.

 

Now, there are also flightplans for Karlsruhe/ Baden-Baden, Klagenfurt, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Las Vegas online available.

 


Luebeck 06/22/2008 - New destination:

 

On Monday, 23 June 2008, Lufthansa will start new flights to Westerland/Sylt. Lufthansa Regional, a cooperating partner of Lufthansa, offers three weekly flights to Germany's northernmost island. Flights will depart on Monday and Saturday at 12:05 h from Luebeck and will arrive at Westerland/Sylt at 12:45 h. Return flights will depart at 13:30 h and will be expected at Luebeck at 14:10 h. On Friday, the airline also offers a late flight at 18:05 h. The arrival at Westerland is scheduled at 18:45 h. The return flight at 19:25 h is expected to arrive at Luebeck at 20:05 h. Lufthansa Regional provides services on this route by using an ATR-42, operated by Contact Air.

Last Call for Iberia Boeing 757-200 to Madrid:

 

It was a cloudly and rainy day when Iberia's Boeing 757-200 took off for its last flight from Luebeck to Madrid at 13.30 h. Due to their fleet renewal program Iberia will use an Airbus A320 on that route in the future. Now, only British Airways and Britannia are still using Boeing 757s for their flights and it seems that the era of these amazing aircrafts in Europe is slowly coming to an end.

Attraktive neue Ziele im Norden Europas:

 

Lufthansa bietet ein neues attraktives Ziel im Norden Europas an, das zweimal in der Woche angeflogen werden. Die zweitgrößte norwegische Stadt Bergen, deren Hafenviertel mit traditioneller hanseatischer Holzbaukunst zum Weltkulturerbe zählt und die wirtschaftlich vor allem für die Erdölförderung sowie ihren Seehafen bekannt ist, wird zum Sommer neu in den Flugplan aufgenommen

 

Mit der Hansestadt Danzig an der Weichselmündung und Krakau ganz im Süden des Landes werden zwei weitere attraktive Ziele in Polen aufgenommen. Danzig ist für seinen Seehafen und den Schiffbau bekannt. Krakau bietet eine Vielzahl alter Bauwerke aus fast allen Epochen, über 100 Kirchen und Klöster sind in der ganzen Stadt verteilt. Die ehemalige Hauptstadt Polens gehört zu den wirtschaftlich erfolgreichsten Städten des Landes. Beide Ziele werden täglich von Lufthansa angeflogen.

 

Gleich dreimal täglich steuert Lufthansa Bristol im Südwesten Englands an. Die Stadt liegt an dem Fluss Avon und ist ein Zentrum der Luftfahrtindustrie. Das Stadtbild ist durch viele alte und restaurierte Gebäude geprägt. Dreimal die Woche besteht zudem ab dem 30. März eine Direktverbindung ins spanische Valencia. Die an der Mittelmeerküste gelegene Großstadt bietet ein überaus angenehmes Klima und ist in den Sommermonaten nahezu niederschlagsfrei.

 

 

Ab dem 30. März werden erstmals die Destinationen Klagenfurt und Bilbao aufgenommen. Die Landeshauptstadt Kärntens wird drei Mal täglich, die Industrie- und Hafenstadt im Norden Spaniens einmal täglich von Lübeck aus angeflogen. Bereits am 31. März folgt die Destination Cluj in Rumänien mit einem täglichen Abflug. Bereits Mitte März stehen auch die beliebten Sommerziele Larnaca und Malaga wieder auf dem Flugplan. Larnaca wird ab dem 14. März drei Mal in der Woche, Malaga ab dem 15. März zwei Mal in der Woche angeflogen.

 

Lufthansa erweitert außerdem sein better Fly-Angebot ab Lübeck:

 

Zu mehr als 20 Zielen werden neue Verbindungen aufgenommen oder bereits bestehende intensiviert. Damit erhöht sich das Angebot auf mehr als 30 Ziele, die von Lübeck aus zu günstigen better Fly-Konditionen erreicht werden können.

 

Neue Verbindungen nach Nordamerika:

 

Mit den Flügen nach Seattle und Calgary in Nordamerika wird das Langstreckenangebot der Lufthansa ab Lübeck weiter ausgebaut. Mit Seattle wird ab Ende März eine der größten Städte im Nordwesten der USA und ein bedeutender Handelsknotenpunkt, vor allem mit asiatischen Ländern, täglich angeflogen. Zahlreiche Industrien und Konzerne sind in Seattle ansässig. Täglich wird Lufthansa auch das kanadische Calgary, die viertgrößte und eine der am schnellst wachsenden Großstädte des Landes, bedienen. Mit diesen beiden Zielen können Lufthansa-Fluggäste zwischen 22 Destinationen in den USA und Kanada wählen.

 

 

Neue Verbindungen nach Asien:

 

 

Mit einer weiteren Langstreckenverbindung in die ostchinesische Stadt Nanjing, die fünfmal in der Woche angeflogen wird, wird auch das Asienangebot der Lufthansa ab Lübeck weiter ausgebaut. Die am Beginn des Jangtse-Deltas gelegen Metropole hat über fünf Millionen Einwohner und ist von den Schlüsselindustrien Fahrzeugbau, Petrochemie, Eisen/ Stahl Energie und Elektro geprägt.

 

 

Am 3. Mai 2008 nimmt Lufthansa erstmalig Mumbai (Bombay) in den Lübecker Flugplan auf. Die neue Verbindung wird künftig drei Mal in der Woche mit einem Airbus A340-300 angeflogen. Mit über 13 Millionen Einwohnern gilt Mumbai als die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt der Welt. Zugleich ist die Metropole die wichtigste Hafenstadt Indiens und das wirtschaftliche Zentrum des Subkontinents. Rund 40 Prozent des indischen Außenhandels werden in Mumbai abgewickelt. Die Flüge ergänzen das tägliche Flugangebot ab Frankfurt.

 

Die zweite neue Flugverbindung wird ab dem 8. Juni 2008 München dreimal pro Woche mit der chinesischen Millionenstadt Shenyang mit Zwischenstopp in Seoul verbinden. Shenyang wird damit erstmalig in den Lufthansa-Flugplan aufgenommen und das Ziel erstmals von einer europäischen Fluglinie angeflogen. Die Provinzhauptstadt im Nordosten Chinas liegt rund 700 Kilometer von Peking entfernt und zählt zu einem der großen Industriezentren in China. Vor allem Unternehmen im Automobil- und Flugzeugbau, aber auch im IT-Sektor prägen die wirtschaftliche Struktur der Region. Shenyang wird einer der Austragungsorte der Olympischen Sommerspiele 2008 sein.

 

Ebenfalls ab dem 8. Juni 2008 wird Singapur fünf Mal in der Woche mit einem Airbus A340-300 angeflogen. Der Inselstaat zählt zu den Ländern mit dem höchsten Lebensstandard in Asien. Singapur ist nicht nur eines der bedeutendsten Handels- und Industriezentren, sondern auch ein wichtigstes Finanzzentrum. Mehr als 130 Banken haben ihren Sitz in der asiatischen Metropole. Darüber hinaus ist Singapur ein idealer Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Australien oder in die pazifische Region. Die neuen Flüge ab Lübeck ergänzen damit die tägliche Verbindung ab Frankfurt. Erstmals wird in diesem Sommer auch Dubai sechsmal in der Woche nonstop von Lübeck aus angeflogen.

 

Wunderbares Vietnam mit Cathay Pacific:

 

Auch Cathay Pacific erweitert sein Angebot nach Süd-Ost-Asien. Ab 1. April 2008 werden tägliche Flüge nach Vietnam angeboten. Dabei gilt es ein aufregendes Land mit einer faszinierenden Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, wunderschönen, unberührten Stränden, einem großen kulturellen Angebot sowie einer der leichtesten und gesündesten Küchen der Welt zu entdecken.

 

 

Neue Verbindungen nach Afrika:

Die zwei neuen Ziele in Afrika, Malabo in Äquatorialguinea und Luanda in Angola, bieten vor allem Kunden der Mineralöl- und Rohstoffindustrie komfortable Direktverbindungen ab Lübeck. Zukünftig steuert Lufthansa dreimal in der Woche das auf der vulkanischen Insel Bioko im Golf von Guinea liegende Malabo an. Jeden Dienstag wird die Millionenstadt Luanda am atlantischen Ozean angeflogen.

 


Luebeck 01/12/2008 - New destination:

Air Berlin offers two new weekly flights from Luebeck to Fréjus in Southern France from 01/16/2008. The total number of destinations offered from Luebeck is set to eight. The new flights are alreday bookable. Air Berlin offers with Fréjus another attractive destination in Southern Europe. On the other hand tourists and business men can visit the "Queen of the Hanse" more easily. The airline will use a Fokker 100 for these flights.

 

Air Berlin departs from Luebeck Hanse International Airport (Blankensee) from next Wednesday and Saturday at 8.00 h and arrives at Fréjus at 10.25 h. The return flight arrives at Luebeck at 13.30 h.

 


Luebeck 01/06/2008 - New flight:

The first flight of Edelweiss Air from Basel (FRF) to Luebeck arrived yesterday morning at 08:25 h on time. The weather conditions could have been much better but a cloudy sky, rain and frosty temperature gave proof of arriving in Northern Europe rather than in Southern Europe. The first passengers were welcomed by the mayor of Luebeck. Less than half an hour later the flight back departed from Luebeck at 08:50 h.

 

"We are very glad to offer an additional flight to an already very attractive flight destination. The concept of touristic interaction continues after it has started by offering flights to Sammersbach and Innsbruck", a spokesperson of the airport said. Beside the new weekly flight by Edelweiss Air (saturdays, FRF - HIA ab 06:45 an 08:25 # EDW 808; HIA - FRF ab 08:50 an 10:25 xxxxx6x # EDW 809) Swiss International offers daily flights to the German-Swiss border town.

Luebeck 11/27/2007 - Last call for Air Canada Boeing B747-400 flight:

 

Today Air Canada's Boeing B747-400 had its last flight between Luebeck and Toronto. After years of duty it is time to say good-bye. After its return to Toronto Air Canada will set their last Boeing B747-400 out of duty and a Boeing B777-300ER will take over its duties. Farewell Air Canada Boeing B747-400.

Luebeck 11/26/2007 - New destinations from Luebeck Hanse International:

 

From the beginning of December Lufthansa/ Austrian Arrows, TUIfly and Armavia serve four new destinations.

 

Lufthansa and Austrian Arrows start a new connection to Sammersbach, located close to Vienna/ Austria. Autrian's Dash-8-300 will be the first to leave Sammersbach at 06:20 h and is expected at Luebeck at 08:00 h. The return flight will depart at 08:55 h. Austrian Arrows serves the new destination on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday while Lufthansa will connect Luebeck and the Capital of Austria on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Their flights depart from Luebeck at 15:00 h and will be expected back at 19:25 h. The flights are flown by a Canadairjet 700.

 

TUIfly offers daily flights to Sammersbach at 08:55 h. The return flight arrives at 12:30 h. The airline offers additionally one flight in the evening at 17:05 h on Sundays. The return flight is expected to arrive at 20:40. A Boeing B737-800 will be used for these flights.

 

Lufthansa also offers new flights to Rueste-Schermbeck in Western Germany (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday flown by an Airbus A320) and Schoenbuch located close to Stuttgart (two daily flights flown by an Airbus A321)

 

Armavia, the Armenian carrier, starts nwe flights to Yerevan, the Capital of Armenia. For the beginning there will be one weekly flight on Saturday flown by an Airbus A320.

 

All flights start on 1 December 2007.

 


Luebeck 02/16/2007 - Timetable updates:

 

Malev Hungarian Airlines offers one new evening roundtrip from Luebeck to Budapest from 18 February 2007. The flight takes off at 18:20 h at Budapest and will be expected at Luebeck for arrival at 20:05 h. The flight back departs at 20:45 h and will arrive at Budapest at 22:20 h. Malev will use a Boeing B737-700 for these flights.



The evening flights by Finnair to Helsinki (AY 855 from Helsinki, arrival at 18:30 h and AY 556 to Helsinki, departure at 19:10 h) are going to be flown by a Airbus A319 instead of a Airbus A321 in the future. As the airline said, these changes are made due to less bookings in the winter season. During summer season, Finnair will probably change back again these flight to its Airbus A321 services.

 


Luebeck 12/02/2006 - Timetable updates:

 

From December on, Lufthansa has offered a new destination from Luebeck. Three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) an Airbus Airbus A340 takes passengers to Mexicali (Mexico) in the Baja California. The departure is expected for 11:00 h. The return flight arrive the day after at 21:35 h.

 

Air Dolomiti offers new destinations from Luebeck. Bologna and Verona will be served five days a week by a Avrojet BAe 146. Furthermore, Air Dolomiti is planning to offer a few more destinations from Luebeck. "We watch the market and try to find out what might be interesting", says an Air Dolomiti's spokesperson. It is rumored that Ancona, Florence, Geneva, Genoa, Trieste and/or Turin could be next destinations. Decisions will be made until January.


 


Luebeck 08/13/2006 - Timetable updates:

 

All flights to Innsbruck are canceled immediately without substitution.

 

In the future, Balkan Holiday Air operates its flights to Larnaca only once a week instead of twice. As substitution the new flight to Burgas is offered once a week.

 

Eurolot is going to have only one daily flight from Luebeck to Gdansk instead of two as announced before.

 


Luebeck 08/13/2006 - Tomorrow on August 14, 2006 Bulgarian Air Charter starts a new flight to an additional destination. In the future a Airbus A320 will take off at 11:50 h for its flight to Burgas on the coast of the Black Sea. It is expected to touch down at 15:25 h (local time). The return flight even takes off at 09:20 h (local time) and is expected at Luebeck at 11:05 h. Flights will be operated by Balkan Holidays Air. 

 


Luebeck 07/23/2006 - From July 31, 2006 LTU operates its flights from Hanse International Airport to Faro via Sieper International Airport. This causes an extension of flighttime of about one hour. Arrival and departure times at Luebeck will not change. For furtehr information about your flights to Faro please see our timetables.

 


Luebeck 07/23/2006 - Beside London Heathrow, British Airways is going to link Luebeck and London Tillingham Airport. British Airways said that they would operate a Boeing 757-200 on this connection twice a day.

 

With this new connection, British Airways expands its offers for flights on the British Isles to three (Birmingham, London Heathrow and London Tillingham). 

 


Luebeck 07/09/2006 - From 06/30/2006 KLM has linked Luebeck and Amsterdam with a daily flightservice. Using a Fokker 70, KLM Cityhopper arrives from Starfield International Airport at 13:50 h and takes off for its return flight at 14:40 h. This connection is welcomed by the airport as well as the local economy. "We expect more connections to Amsterdam in the future. But I will not give any hints about the how and when", an airpot spokesperson said.

The Hanse International vAG spins off their operations to the Hanse International Airport Ground Services vAG & Co. KG and the Hanse International Airport Cargo Ground Services vAG & Co. KG retroactively from 2006/01/01. The Hanse International Airport vAG turns into a holding company which hold 100 percent of both services companies.

Luebeck 06/11/2006 - Today, German Federal Police moved into their new offices at Terminal 1 of Hanse International Airport. A spokesperson said:"We really enjoy our new facilities. They are up-to-date and offer us wide possibilities to make the airport even more safer for the future."

Luebeck 03/18/2006 - American Airlines and the management of Hanse Int'l Airport announced new flights to the American East Coast, yesterday evening. From April, 1st American Airlines is presenting daily flights from Hanse Int'l Airport to New Hampshire International Airport. Flight AA 100 arrives at 6.30 a.m. at Luebeck and leaves at 8.15 a.m. (flight AA 101). The management of Hanse Int'l Airport and American Airlines said that there will be a chance for further flights in the future. (All times are meant to be local times, GMT+1)

On the one hand you can find now the "Search engine" which means that you choose your desired destination and you are immediately linked to its timetable.

 

On the other hand you will soon be able to see pictures of your desired flight after you have chosen your destination and your flight. Our picture gallery will be integrated step by step to that new feature.

 

Additionally we also present you several new flights to a lot of new destinations. The major changes were made

Luebeck 11/20/2005 - The expected update on November, 1st couldn't be kept. This is because a new search engine will be installed and this is taking much more time than expected. The new update will be available on December, 15th.

 


Luebeck 10/14/2005 - Welding works caused a fire in the non-public part of the new terminal 2. After rescue forces had arrived the fire was immediately under control. "There was no danger for passengers at any time. The building was evacuated by our staff in a very good way.", said a HIA vAG's spokesman. Nevertheless the building is closed until 20th October. "In spite of it all flights will be on time.", said the spokesman.
